A representative of our company participated in the 15th International Conference on Tunnels and Underground Structures – ITA Slovenija, which brought together experts from several countries with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences in the field of underground construction, safety and tunnel equipment.

On the third day of the conference, a technical visit to the Karavanke Tunnel was organized, with the construction of its new tube nearing completion. The tunnel has a total length of 7,9 km, of which 3.5 km lie on the Slovenian side and 4.4 km on the Austrian side, making it one of the most important road structures connecting Slovenia and Austria.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to observe the unique ventilation concept used in this road tunnel, which combines transverse and longitudinal ventilation. This hybrid approach enables more flexible smoke control and enhances traffic safety and evacuation conditions in the event of an emergency.

Participation in the conference provided valuable insight into the latest professional developments and the application of advanced technical solutions in modern tunnel systems.
